Official Visit to Philippines by Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Law Mdm Rahayu Mahzam

1.    Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS) of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Law Mdm Rahayu Mahzam made an official visit to Philippines, from 13 to 14 May 2024.

2.    SPS Rahayu attended the SIAC Manila Conference organised by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) on 14 May. She also met with government officials and other key stakeholders in the legal industry.

3.    During the SIAC Manila Conference, SPS Rahayu delivered an opening address, where she affirmed Singapore and Philippines’ diplomatic ties which grew in strength over the past decades as the two nations celebrate their 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. SPS Rahayu also spoke about the progress in the cooperation between the two countries, including in the areas of trade and investment, defence and security, and people-to-people ties, and highlighted the room for more collaborations in the legal and dispute resolution fields.
