Request a Certificate of Good Standing
Request a Certificate of Good Standing or a Letter of Confirmation
Foreign lawyers currently or previously registered with the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (“LSRA”) (or the Attorney General’s Chambers’ Legal Profession Secretariat ("AGC LPS") prior to 18 November 2015) may apply to the LSRA for a Certificate of Good Standing.
[Note: Singapore solicitors, including those currently or previously registered under section 36E (previously section 130N) of the Legal Profession Act, should apply to the Supreme Court of Singapore for a Certificate of Good Standing or the Law Society of Singapore for a Certificate of Standing.]
To request for a Certificate of Good Standing from the LSRA, the law practice entity should submit the request on the foreign lawyer's behalf via LSRA e-Services. A fee of SGD150.00 is payable before the issuance of the Certificate of Good Standing. If the foreign lawyer is no longer registered with the LSRA, please submit the request via Contact Us @ OneMinLaw with the following information:
- Full name
- Identification number (as reflected in the individual’s identification document)
[Note: NRIC is preferred, followed by FIN, then passport.] - A scanned copy of the NRIC/work pass/passport
- Current Certificate of Registration number (if any)
- Previous Certificate(s) of Registration number(s) (if any)
- Date by which the Certificate of Good Standing is required
- Purpose of request
* If the applicant would like to authorise another individual to liaise with the LSRA on his/her behalf, the applicant should state this in a letter or email.
Law practice entities currently or previously licensed with the LSRA (or the AGC LPS or the Law Society of Singapore prior to 18 November 2015) may apply to the LSRA for a Letter of Confirmation to certify their registration or licence with the LSRA.
To request for a Letter of Confirmation, the law practice entity should submit the request via LSRA e-Services. If the law practice entity is no longer licensed with the LSRA, please submit the request via Contact Us @ OneMinLaw with the following information:
- Name of law practice
- Unique Entity Number (UEN)
- Current LSRA Licence number (if any)
- Previous Licence number(s) (if any)
- Date by which the Letter of Confirmation is required
- Purpose of request
